Between Two Artists with Tim Kaminski: image credits
Talking It Over by Enoch Woods, oil on canvas, 1872
Recently I talked with an old college friend and fellow former Good/Bad Art Collective member, Tim Kaminski for my Between Two Artists project. We weren’t in a barn, neither of us was smoking a pipe, and there were no horses listening in. Other than that, it was kind of like this Enoch Woods painting (and surprisingly there were actually wood shavings included in the conversation).
I edited in a sizable amount of public domain art historical images, and since there was no good place to post the image credits on YouTube I posted them here (with a link in the video description). If you found this through Substack rather than YouTube, that’s what’s going on.
But maybe you might be enticed by this to watch our talk. I had a lot of fun editing this one, with every image very carefully selected, and the very thorough or the art history nerds might find extra layers and added nuance through the images, but that’s not necessary. It’s really just an invitation to go deeper and to draw your own conclusions on the various topics discussed (and sometimes intentionally left open-ended).
HEADS UP: viewer discretion is advised for mature themes and imagery, as well as discussion about 9/11.
